Admission to CUL

Admission to the Research School at the Centre for Educational Science and Teacher Research

The doctoral subject Research on Arts Education, which is one of the doctoral subjects studied at the Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts at the University of Gothenburg, will be one of the subjects included (with one position) in this year’s announcement of doctoral positions at the Centre for Educational Science and Teacher Research (CUL) – the university’s joint research school. The doctoral student who is admitted to study Research on Arts Education will have his or her working place at either Academy of Music and Drama or HDK-Valand – Academy of Art and Design – depending on his or her specialisation. Please note that you need to have teacher training qualifications to apply and that the teaching and courses in the Research School are mainly in Swedish.

The research school at the Centre for Education Science and Teacher Research, CUL, in partnership with the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Education and the IT Faculty at the University of Gothenburg, hereby opens up for admission to third cycle studies and invites applications for doctoral studentships:

  • Six doctoral studentships are offered; CUL covers costs of both education and salary.
  • Six jointly funded doctoral positions are offered; CUL covers education costs and the external partner covers salary costs.
  • The research school is also accepting applications for positions with full external funding.
