On September 5th 1995 the Dutch Caribbean island of St. Maarten had its up to then worst hurricane experience in recorded history. The hurricane named Luis tore through the island and became a defining traumatic moment for a generation. "how to prepare for a hurricane pt. 2" is a performance that centers on one family's experience of that devastating hurricane. A mother and her two sons contemplate loss, forgiveness and fundamental changes in the face of a life altering event with poetry, music and blue tarp.

During the evening L'Internationale Online will launch its newest e-publication, Living with Ghosts: Legacies of Colonialism and Fascism.

This event is free and open to the public. No sign-up necessary, refreshments will be served.
