Open House at Valand Academy and HDK

Open Day

On October 11, HDK - Academy of Design and Crafts and Valand Academy invite you to an open house celebrating our upcoming merger in 2020!

During the afternoon we are focusing on some of the Master's Programmes, where English is the language used.

13.00-16.00: "We make art in this zine" (Akademin Valand, Fine Art BFA1 studio)
In this workshop we will make fanzines and explore the printed matter as a space for a physical manifestation. DIY forms of binding and distribution will be discussed in this hands-on workshop.

14.00-15.00: What is Child Culture Design? (HDK, rum 523)
Meet the program director and students from the Master's Programme in Child Culture Design.

15.00-16.00: Master's Programme in Design (meeting point in HDK main entrance)
If your interested in the Master's Programme in Design you are welcome to join the programme director Jonas Fridén on a tour of the graduation show at the Gothenburg City Library.

16.00-17.30: Embedded Design Practices (HDK, rum 301)
A workshop about the role of an embedded design practice with teachers and alumnis. At the end of the session there will be a short presentation regarding the new Master's Programme Embedded Design by the program director.
