Artist Anders Widoff's lecture commences from a studio visit in Paris 2018. The lecture will be held in Swedish.

Widoff will talk about his recent work:
"It commences from a studio visit in Paris 2018. During this stay I came to collect colors, everyday walk was summed in a monochrome painting. Gradually they came to form a melodic spectrum over the city. In a similar way, I collected leftover material along the streets and quays. This material became the starting point for hundreds of sculptures, all of which are based to some extent on the river and the city's architecture. Some sculptures carry poems by Paul Celan."

Anders Widoff is an artist. He has exhibited a lot, especially in Sweden, but also internationally. In Sweden, he made solo exhibitions at Moderna Museet and Liljevalch's Art Hall. Likewise, he has performed a number of public works, the most notable being perhaps the sculpture of Maria (Maria, return 2005) which stands in Uppsala Cathedral.

For many years, Widoff worked as a professor at the Department of Art at the Art Academy, Stockholm and at the Oslo Academy of Fine Arts. He was also a visiting professor at the School of the Arts.

The lecture will be held in Swedish.
